Abstract

Eliminating hazardous chemical reducing agents in nanomaterial synthesis remains an essential tenet of green nanotechnology. Utilizing Sargassum seaweed aqueous extracts as dual stabilizing and reducing agents, synthesized silver nanoparticles demonstrate 96% photocatalytic degradation of synthetic azo dyes under direct solar irradiation within 90 minutes.
