Sundanese Gamelan Degung exhibits unique microtonal tunings that elicit distinct affective moods (raos) in ceremonial gatherings. Through acoustic waveform measurements and qualitative interviews with master musicians, we delineate the cultural resonance between modal pitch hierarchies and ritual solemnity.
